Football

The 2021 Dublin Lions rushed into the season with a 43-7 away victory over the DeLeon Bearcats. Greg Hardcastle, who has stepped up to head coach and athletic director this year, expects this to be an omen of a good season to come.

Volleyball

“It’s great to see the difference between and this year,” said Lady Lions volleyball coach Kaitlyn Embrey, who is returning in her second year heading the program.

Football

The Lingleville Cardinals are only a game into their season but they are already showing an improvement that head coach Ken Davis hopes to build on all season. That first game was against the tough Lometa. “Last year, they 45’d us at halftime,” said Davis. “This year, we were 22-14 at half.

Volleyball

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals ended their 2020 season on a high note, heading into playoffs after a rocky start. Head volleyball coach Ty Johnston reports that the team is building off those successes for a promising 2021. One of the program’s biggest strengths is size.

Teams bring moves in pep rally contest

Dublin cheerleaders brought in members of the volleyball and football teams to compete in a dance contest during Friday morning’s pep rally at Cervetto Field. Athletes showcased some moves on both sides but it was the football boys who won after they showed off doing ‘the worm.
