The Dublin High School Class of 2023 held a successful mother-son dance fundraiser Saturday night at the Dublin Intermediate cafetorium. Organizers reported there were more than 70 tickets presold and attendees who didn’t buy tickets in advance were already rolling in as the event began.

Dublin Intermediate announced the newest members of the Million Word Club. Sixth grader Dylan Cisneros has read 2,119,659 words with a 92% passing rate. Sixth grader Mikayla Taff has read 2,046,558 words with a 94% passing rate.

Dublin sales rise again

Dublin joined local communities in reported sales Tax growth when Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar releases sales tax totals this months.
Dublin’s totals were fairly static in February, but bounced back to collections of more than 16% over this period last year.

Dublin and Lingleville powerlifting girls traveled to Corpus Christi last week for the state championships. On the Dublin side, Karlie White placed 5th in the 181 (middle, at left) , Carla Saucedo competed in the 259, Marianna Ortiz placed 6th in the 198 and Celeste Alvarez placed 6th in the 220.
