March 5 At 3:01 p.m. a major twovehicle accident on Hwy 67 left one vehicle in a tree. One victim was Careflighted to JPS and another was pronounced dead at the scene. March 6 At 5:51 p.m. a possible broken collar bone was the result of a vehicle roll over on Hwy 281 near Hwy 6 East.

An estimated 2800 visitors flocked to Dublin Saturday for the St. Patrick’s Celebration, taking in the parade, all manner of competitions (including kilt, beard, pet and costume), live entertainment, the D&D Rockin’ Rod car show, dozens of vendors, the fly-in at the Dublin Airport and more.

Texan Football sets camps

Tarleton Football announced Tuesday they will host five camps this upcoming summer. There is a camp available for virtually all youth ages, beginning with the Little Texan Camp to start June, ending with Friday Night Lights in late July.

The 2022 Dublin St. Patrick’s Day celebration Saturday offered plenty of chances for athletes to show off and having fun with 80 runner coming out for the Shamrock Shuffle 5K, dozens of disc golfers competing at the city park and a small crowd competing at the Tex-Irish games.

Officer Beans inspires area, world in battle

The local community, state of Texas and others around the world joined in reverence this past week to regard the passing of Dublin local Rylan Pruitt, who, although he was only 6, was an honorary officer, a friend to heroes and an inspiration to people around the world for his warrior’s courage.

Steps taken to new EMS home

The Dublin City Council voted to get plans drawn for a new EMS building and to demolish the existing building following a brief tour of EMS facilities in the regular Monday night meeting.

Jr. Class hosting dance

The Dublin Class of 2023 is holding a special Mother-Son dance fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Dublin Intermediate Cafeteria. In addition to the dancing, punch and finger food will be provided. Pre-sale tickets are available with costs at $10 per adult and $3 per son.

Open house this weekend

The Shops at Grafton and Grafton Marketb (112 S. Grafton) will host an open house and mini Bridal show this weekend. All are invited to the free event running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. —Citizen staff report
