Chamber banquet this Saturday

The Dublin Chamber of Commerce is sharing its gratitude with its members, local businesses and residents this Saturday at its annual chamber banquet. The banquet is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Dublin High School Cafeteria.

Rodeo banquet deadline approaching

The Rodeo Heritage Museum in Dublin is having their major fundraiser of the year next weekend. Deadline to RSVP is Saturday, Nov. 12. The event will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Dublin High School Cafeteria.

Rural Caregivers Summit Nov. 15

There will be a Rural Caregivers Summit from 3-5 p.m. Nov. 15 on zoom for Erath, Johnson, Hood, Parker and McLennan counties. The summit is being hosted by Erath Engaged, Erath County Community Bridges, the Alzheimers Association and Texas A&M Agrilife extension.

Police Log

A possible disturbance was reported between two males in the 300 block of South Camden. Officers made the scene, the three males advised it was an accidental dial and that everything was OK. A reporting person advised that she has someone training her service dog and he will not give the dog back.

Kay Eaton

Kay Eaton is a natural caregiver. From caring for her son, to working in home health, to nursing her mother and sister, Eaton has dedicated her life to helping those around her. “That was my calling,” she said. “It was just in my blood.” Eaton graduated from Dublin High School in 1975.

Fall Fundraising Fun

First Methodist Church hosted its Fall Fest fundraiser Sunday, Nov. 6 in order to raise money for a new church bus. A wide variety of items were for sale for the holidays and pulled pork sandwiches were served.
