Golden Butterfly to celebrate 50 years!

Golden Butterfly is celebrating its golden anniversary! Originally founded in 1972, The Golden Butterfly Jewelers (118 N. Patrick St.) is inviting the public to celebrate its 50th anniversary in an open house on Friday, Nov. 18 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct. 31 Two dogs running around in the road on North Patrick were reported. Animal Control was contacted. A reporting person advised that a young male juvenile ripped off her granddaughter’s Halloween mask and called her names. The same subject bullied her before she went to home school.

Monthly sales tax up

Dublin sales tax collections were up a bit in September, at 1.62%, compared to September 2021, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar this month. In 2022, for the month of September Dublin received $55,383.20 compared to $54,471.44 in September 2021.

75 years ago Nov. 21, 1947 The Dublin Rotary Club made a trip to Dallas Saturday in a chartered bus and saw the SMU-Arkansas football game at Ownby Stadium. Rotarians and their wives and friends made the trip.
