BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water slightly stained; 58-63 degrees; 8.28 feet low. Bass are slow to four pounds in 5-10 feet of water on jigs and squarebill crankbaits around docks with brush. Crappie to one pound are slow on minnows in brush piles. White bass are slow on jigs under the lights.

Church, community deliver more than dinner for Thanksgiving

The fellowship hall at Church for the Lost and Found-First Assembly of God was filled with laughter and delicious aromas Thursday morning as members organized special Thanksgiving meals for Meals on Wheels recipients.

‘Little bit like being Saint Nick’

The community is being asked to be a little bit like Saint Nicholas and help children in need by adopting an angel. Located at Christian Women’s Job Corps – Transformation Pathway, 40 ‘Angels’ are located inside and need to be adopted with their gifts returned by Dec. 10.

Holiday events on tap for Dublin

EDC director resigns

The Dublin Economic Development Corporation is on the search for a new executive director after Amy Wright recently resigned. Wright (no relation to former EDC Director Karen Wright) sent in an email resignation Nov. 4. She had started in the position in June 2022.

Comanche Museum to host open house
