Garden Club hosts plant exchange for May meeting

The Dublin Garden Club held their regular meeting, May 14, before dismissing for the summer. Janice Reeder was hostess. DJ Klutts was co-hostess.The club had voted earlier to give two $500 scholarships to graduating Dublin Seniors.

Arrests made following multi-agency operation

Multiple arrests have been made on significant quantities of meth in Hamilton County.On June 1, Hamilton County investigators received a tip regarding a subject with outstanding felony warrants.

The following first responder calls were made May 19 –May 25. Local first responders handled 83 calls during this timeframe and PD completed 16 traffic stops.Dublin PD May 19A civil standby was requested in the 400 block of North Park.Citation service was completed in the 600 block of North Park.

Tarleton announces name of events center slated for fall

Tarleton State and EECU, one of the largest locally-owned financial institutions in North Texas, have announced a naming rights agreement for the university’s new event center. The formal naming of the venue to the EECU Center was approved today by The Texas A&M System Board of Regents.

Stampede, reunion set for next weekend

Next week brings the return of the annual Irish Stampede and allclass reunion, offering a chance for happy feet and faces.The Dublin Irish Stampede 10K5K-2K Run, hosted by the Dublin Lions Club, will kick off at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14 by the Dublin Public Library.
