Rezoning for subdivision denied in Stephenville

Rezoning for Phase 4 of the Elk Ridge subdivision in Stephenville was denied at the Tuesday, May 6 Stephenville City Council meeting after much opposition from citizens.For Phase 4, the rezoning item would have changed the 17.

The following first responder calls were made May 5 –May 11. Local first responders handled 71 calls during this timeframe and PD completed 25 traffic stops.Dublin PD May 5 An officer served a citation.A Black Dodge pickup was failing to maintain a lane on CR 351. Was released with a warning.

Court approves nonemergency transportation for CRP program

The county has signed an agreement with Cruising Care for nonemergency transportation in regards to patients in the Community Response Paramedic program.Paramedic Colby Swearingen and staff have been working on the proposal for several months.

Dublin FFA members were recognized for accomplishments during the annual banquet in the DHS Cafeteria Tuesday, May 13. Other awards included the Ag Mechanics Show Team Award presented to Hayden Milburn.

Rangers investigate death at county line

A grisly death in Comanche County is being investigated by the Texas Rangers.On May 15, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an incident involving a person on fire on Highway 2823 near the borders of Comanche, Erath and Hamilton counties.
