The Texas Folklore Society, a partner of Tarleton State University, is currently seeking submissions for a book highlighting legends in Texas and the Southwest.Legends are short stories that are presented as true and recount incidents that are miraculous, bizarre, uncanny or humorous.

The Dublin Public Library (along with the Erath County AgriLife Extension Agency) hosted a Eat a Rainbow event Wednesday, June 11. Kids in attendance were invited to blend a smoothie by bike power as they pedaled to mix the ingredients.

The Erath County Humane Society is staying busy expanding their offerings for kitties and several fundraisers designed to fund new facilities.Recently, the Humane Society opened Whisker Haven, a separate facility just for cats.
