Where Are They Now?

Ralph Bellamy has had many jobs over the years. Now, working with his brother as the caretaker of a cemetery in Walters, Oklahoma, he’s finally found a place he wants to stay. “It’s peaceful out here,” he said. “There’s no big rush to get things done. You take your time and do it right.

ECSO arrests two after chase

Erath County Sheriff’s Office arrested two following a chase Saturday. According to a press release from ECSO, a deputy was requested to check on the status of a driver at Allsups located at the intersection of US Hwy 281 and Washington St on the morning of Saturday, May 8.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

May 2 At 1:24 p.m. 15-20 red and black cows were loose on FM 2303 and pushed into a pasture with no fencing, awaiting owner. May 3 At 6:17 p.m. a vehicle had its windshield busted out from something flying out of an RV going the opposite direction on Hwy 377 South, injuring the driver.

POLICE LOG

May 3 Caller reported that there was a dog that wouldn’t stop barking in the area. The call came from the 600 block of Hawk. Caller reported that he woke up to find that the back windshield of his car was busted out on the 500 block of Elm.

TFB donate to communities

Through the Helping Hands co-op contribution program, Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) and county Farm Bureaus donated $262,197 to community food and emergency relief efforts following February’s winter storm.

Picnic promises family fun, food

The Dublin community is invited to fun-filled Bloomin’ Business Banquet picnic Friday, March 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dublin City Park. The picnic banquet will act as the official Dublin Chamber of Commerce awards ceremony with eight awards to be given to local citizens and business leaders.

Council talks plans, positions

The Dublin City Council made several appointments, adopted an action plan for natural disasters and a drought contingency plan and heard public comments in a short meeting Monday night.
