Council OKs tax drop, budget

The Dublin City Council officially approved to drop the city tax rate during a special meeting on Thursday. Although the rate was dropped from $.9638 per $100 valuation to $.9001, it will still raise more taxes ($35.50 on a $100,000) due to the increase in appraised land values.

Harry Bradberry Marching Classic amends schedule

Dublin is set to host 11 schools and hundreds of band members in the inaugural Harry Bradberry Marching Classic set for Saturday, Oct. 2 at Bob and Norma Cervetto Field. Cost for admission to the event is free and guests are welcome to come and go throughout the day.
