100 Years Ago Nov. 11, 1921 R.S. Landers, the owner of the Cole Drug Company bought the Sweet Shop from W.A. Hickey and planned to consolidate the two businesses.

October 25 A caller reported someone on Hurt Street had moved and left their dogs behind. October 26 Dublin PD was notified that two electrical lines were touching in the 200 block of E. Harris Street. A reporting person notified Dublin PD of loose dogs on N. Norton Street tearing up items.

October 30 At 3:32 p.m. a hay baler and field were reported on fire on Vanderhorst dairy on Hwy 281 South which took a little over an hour to put out. At 8;54 p.m. a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 377 South disabled both vehicles, which included a pregnant woman. October 31 At 11:06 a.m.

The Silver Spur Winery was host to many notable cowgirls and cowboys in their finery Friday night as a meet and greet kicked off the inaugural Billy the Kid Book Festival hosted by the Billy the Kid Museum this weekend.

Dare fall Homecoming participants to give $100,000 in new scholarship support, and Tarleton State University Texans will exceed the mark in record time. Philanthropy-minded contributors donated more than $130,000 in less than two weeks. Homecoming was Oct. 17-23.

The Sound of Dublin band had fifteen 7th and 8th grade students compete on Saturday for the chance to make either the Symphonic (top band) or Concert Band for ATSSB Region 7 SZ Middle School. The band had four students make the Concert Band and one student make the Symphonic Band.
