Electronics recycling event returns to Erath County

An electronic recycling event is open to Erath County residents with drop-off locations scheduled for Dublin and Stephenville. Dublin residents will be able to drop off old and outdated electronics locally in the Dublin Annex parking lot (219 S. Grafton) on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

October is an exciting month at Dublin Elementary. Coming up this week is picture day, October 6th, Fall Festival is rescheduled for October 14th, 5:30-7:30 in front of the Elementary, and October 29th we will have the Spook Parade. The Spook Parade will be at Memorial Stadium starting at 3:00.

The Dublin community is rallying around a local family who suffered tragedy in a Sept. 28 accident on Highway 377 near Bluff Dale.

Gala set to benefit ranch ministry

Morning Star Ranch is hosting its first annual Star Gala fundraising event on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at Celebration Event Center (9710 CR209 in Hico), with doors opening at 6 p.m. Individual tickets are available for $50 each with all proceeds from the event benefitting Morning Star’s ministries.

Sun sets on first Marching Classic

Though rain delayed the start from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Dublin ISD Band Director Ronny Luedke still reported that the first annual Harry Bradberry Marching Classic held Saturday on the Bob & Norma Cervetto Field was a big success.
