Tarleton asst. football coach lost in accident

The Tarleton community is in mourning after the loss of their longtime assistant football coach Marc Martinez who was killed in a head-on collision Friday, Feb. 10. According to information released by Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Sergeant William Lockridge, around 4 a.m.

Kickball tourney set for March

A kickball tournament will be held March 3-4 at Dublin City Park. Thetournamentispresented by the Dublin Baseball and Softball Association. There is an 8 player minimum with a maximum of 12 players. The tournament is for ages 12 and up and costs $25 per person. Registration deadline is Feb. 24.

The Dublin Lions were 4-9 heading into their final home game Tuesday night against Early. On Friday, Feb. 10, the Lions traveled to Brock where they fell 71-50 to the Eagles.
