The Dublin Lions had a fierce fight Friday on the home diamond as they faced Millsap in a 13-12 loss for the home team.

“We continued to fight the entire time and never gave up,” said head Lions baseball coach Brennan Harris of his team.

The noon bout had a lot of shining moments as every starter for Dublin recorded at least one hit and Cameron Patton scored an inside the park home run for his team.

Victory wasn’t certain for the visitors until the very end when Millsap scored five runs in the last inning and Dublin couldn’t quite match the numbers.

The Lions entered that Friday match determined after an 11-1 loss to the Greyhounds in Peaster on March 14.

Harris said Dublin was hampered with nine errors and left nine runners on base. The sole run for the Peaster game came on a triple from Cooper Pickett.
