2023 Lingleville Homecoming

The 2023 Lingleville High School Homecoming was held Jan. 24 alongside the Cardinals and Lady Cards taking on Three Way. The Cards won 72-23 while the Lady Cardinals won 67-23. More photos of the games and homecoming festivities will be posted on the Dublin Citizen facebook.

Registration open for DHS Cheer Camp

Registration is now open for the 2023 DHS Mini Cheer Camp. The camp is open to kids Kindergarten to 6th graders who want to learn routines and practice with the DHS Cheerleaders. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Feb.

Dublin Lady Lions faced Brock and Early last week as they started the second round of district. “[On Jan. 17,] our game with Brock was more like a wrestling match,” said head Lady Lions basketball coach Kim Perez. “It was certainly one of the toughest games we have played.

Dublin High School hosted 14 schools and more than 200 athletes during the annual invitational powerlifting meet on Saturday, Jan. 21. Elijah Gonzales topped Dublin results taking first in the boys’ 165 with a combined 1,180 pounds lifted—460 in squat, 255 in bench press and 465 in dead lift.

Lions fight Early, Brock

The Dublin Lions were looking for a win as they returned home Tuesday, following fierce battles with Early and Brock. On Friday, Jan. 20, the Lions traveled to Early to take on the Longhorns in a fight, which ended in a 68-59 loss for Dublin.

Lady Lions fighting through season

Lions lift medals at Venus

The Dublin Lion and Lady Lion Powerlifters returned to the bars Saturday in the first meet of the 2022-‘23 school year at Venus. Dublin Powerlifting head coach Wes Benfer reported DHS took 24 lifters to the event and many of them achieved personal bests during the meet.

Lingleville Homecoming set for Jan. 24

Lingleville High School will have its homecoming during the varsity games set for Tuesday, Jan. 24. Both JV and Varsity are slated to play as the Cardinals and Lady Cards take on Three-Way in games that start at 6 p. m.
