It’s hard to believe that three weeks progress reports for the 4th Six Weeks will go out on Monday, January 30th. We have been taking benchmarks this week and to add extra support for our students we will be providing tutorials.

Lady Lions fighting through season

“Although our record may not be impressive at the first glance, if you are not watching the Lady Lions you are missing out,” said head Lady Lions basketball coach Kim Perez, who scored high in two close calls last week. “Each player is stepping up and learning their roles on the team.

Lions lift medals at Venus

The Dublin Lion and Lady Lion Powerlifters returned to the bars Saturday in the first meet of the 2022-‘23 school year at Venus. Dublin Powerlifting head coach Wes Benfer reported DHS took 24 lifters to the event and many of them achieved personal bests during the meet.

Lingleville Homecoming set for Jan. 24

Lingleville High School will have its homecoming during the varsity games set for Tuesday, Jan. 24. Both JV and Varsity are slated to play as the Cardinals and Lady Cards take on Three-Way in games that start at 6 p. m.

LISD extends Supt. contract

The Lingleville ISD School Board voted to extend the superintendent’scontract and accepted a bid to finish the school’s security fence during a short regular meeting Jan. 12. The meeting ended with a closed session in which the board conducted an evaluation of LISD Superintendent DeeCee McDougal.

Before the Texans begin the spring portion of their 2022-23 campaign, they are locking down their roster for 2023-24. Tarleton Men’s Golf announced on Thursday that they have signed Melissa, Texas, native Chandler Barch, who will make his Texan debut next season.

The Dublin Lions grew their district record with two wins last week. On Jan. 3, the Lions host Millsap in a 63-56 win for the home team. “We played well against Millsap and knew we had to rebound better to control the game,” said Dublin head boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.
