BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water stained; 60-65 degrees; 8.70 feet below pool. Black bass to 7.23 pounds are excellent on jigs, jerkbaits and spinnerbaits in 4-12 feet around spawning areas. Alabama rigs and crankbaits around the rocky shoreline near pre-spawn areas with a few on beds.

Lions lift large at Regional meet

Dublin Lions showed strength in the regional powerlifting meet Saturday, March 11 although the boys fell short of advancing to state despite several placing high.

Lions keep step with Millsap

The Dublin Lions had a fierce fight Friday on the home diamond as they faced Millsap in a 13-12 loss for the home team. “We continued to fight the entire time and never gave up,” said head Lions baseball coach Brennan Harris of his team.

Six Dublin Lion basketball players received post season honors as the 8-3A All-District team selections were announced this week.
Dublin High School Senior Chris Teten will be flying with the Warhawks after signing with McMurry University, pledging to provide his baseball prowess to the college’s team. Teten signed in front of the DHS cafeteria trophy case in a March 8 ceremony. Golfers play at Canyon West

The Dublin golf boys faced cold and windy weather Monday as they played at Canyon West in Brock and continued to prepare for district. Charlie Rasberry led the Dublin guys with 104 strokes while Dane Lewis had 111 and Andrew Butter had 134.

80+ runners shuffle in Shamrock

A total of 85 runners hit the Dublin streets early Saturday for the annual Shamrock Shuffle organized by Titan Fitness. It was a cold and dark start for the runners as they crossed the start line in pitch dark at 7 a.m. with a temperature of about 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
