Tarletons adds beach volleyball

Tarleton’s growth as a national contender in intercollegiate athletics continues as the university announced the addition of the fastest-growing Olympic sport in the country, Beach Volleyball. Tarleton will join Conference USA as an affiliate member in the sport beginning Fall 2023.

Tracksters advance to Area

Dublin is sending four varsity athletes to Area competition in Jacksboro today following strong performances at District finals in Dublin last week. DHS senior Dalan Rasberry is advancing in long jump after a first place 22’10” finish and the triple jump after a second place 43’2.5” finish.

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water stained; 64-67 degrees; 8.79 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.67 pounds are good on topwater walking baits, jigs, and crankbaits in 1-8 feet of water on beds. The bass are nearly done spawning with parts of the lake in post spawn.

Pride puts up points in fight

The Dublin Lions leapt back in fierce fashion Friday, April 14 as they faced Breckenridge at home. Although Dublin eventually fell 11-7, the home team continued to fight after getting down by 8 runs.
Ayush Patel ended his tennis season in Regional competition in Abilene on Tuesday, April 11. The Dublin senior faced a tough opponent from Wall and lost 6-2 and 6-1. The Dublin Lady Lions faced Early and Peaster in tough losses last week but players earned solid stats along the way. On April 4, The Lady Lions traveled to Early where Jaylee Black pitched three innings. Black had 59 strikes and 35 balls in 94 pitches. She also had one out in fielding.
