Local grads make grade at ASU

Numerous local students were among the Spring 2023 graduates and Dean’s List at Angelo State University when the college recently announced the distinctions.

DBSA tourney swings for the fences

The Dublin City Park was filled with coaches, players and fans this weekend as the Dublin Baseball and Softball Association held a Swing for Da Fences tournament fundraiser. Spectators were also treated to some great concessions from both the Fifth and on-site food vendors.

CCMC adds CTS surgery to expanding efforts

Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC) announced this week the availability of a new surgery service called carpal tunnel release with ultrasound guidance as CEO Dr. Larry Troxell delivered an update on the growing CCMC health system.

Camp with a kick

Dublin High School head softball coach Teryl Dunn, staff and players led a group of more than 20 youngsters in softball camp last week on the Lady Lion home diamond. On the final day of camp, Dunn and varsity Lady Lions introduced kids to the fundamentals of the game with a kickball match.

LISD seniors get high marks

The Lingleville Class of 2023 walked across the stage Friday, May 26 with the largest amount of scholarships ever received by a single graduating class – more than $445,000.
