The Lingleville Class of 2023 walked across the stage Friday, May 26 with the largest amount of scholarships ever received by a single graduating class – more than $445,000.

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 78-82 degrees; 5.91 feet below pool. Black bass to 7.57 pounds are good on jigs, crankbaits and shaky heads in 6-15 feet of water. Crappie are good in brush piles on jigs in 8-14 feet of water, and on minnows around the docks.

AUSTIN – Each year on the first Saturday in June, anglers across the state pack their tackle boxes and get their fishing poles ready for the Texas tradition of Free Fishing Day.

The Dublin Lions 7-on-7 football team is into the 2023 season with recent appearances at home and away. On May 20, The Lions got home field advantage as they went 2-1 on the Cervetto Field turf. The Dublin boys started with a 20-0 win over DeLeon and a 26-13 triumph over Comanche JV.

Football, B-Ball camps next week

Dublin Lions and Lady Lions are inviting kids 6-15 to Football and Basketball Camps Tuesday through May 25. The cost for each camp is $25 and includes a t-shirt to be handed out the final day. The Fun in the Sun Football camp will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The 2023 Lingleville High School Prom was held May 13 at Bella Vita Ranch with a them of ‘Black & White.’ The King and Queen (left) crowned were Damian Ortuno and Araceli Rangel (photo submitted) as students and guests enjoyed the classy ambience and refreshments and hit the dance floor.

The apparel fit some Disney-inspired selections played near the end of the concert to celebrate the band heading to Walt Disney World this week where they will have fun and participate in a clinic to record a piece of a Disney score that will be put on top of a classic Disney scene.
