Tarleton fundraiser tourney teeing up in Granbury

After making a splash in their revival season, the Tarleton men’s golf team will look to keep their momentum going, beginning with their fundraiser shamble set for Saturday, Aug. 19. The Tarleton Men’s Golf Fundraiser will be played at Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury.

DABC tourney returns July 28

The Dublin Athletic Booster Club is once again hosting the annual golf tournament at PAR Country Club in Proctor on Friday, July 28. The 4-man scramble will start at 9 a.m. with breakfast and check-in from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Dublin ISD is inviting all Lady Lions fans from 1st to 8th grade to Volleyball Camp July 17 and July 18 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. DISD staff and players will teach campers basics of the game and run through exercises. Cost for the camp is $30 per camper and includes a t-shirt.

Sign ups Monday for flag football

Dublin Youth Football League will be hosting a registration night Monday, July 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dublin Dairy Queen. Kids in 1st through 6th grade are encouraged to sign up for an exciting season of flag football and enjoy a half price hamburger during the event.

Workouts starting soon

Dublin High School athletic director Greg Hardcastle announced that workouts will start for fall sports (football, volleyball and cross country) on Monday, July 31. Schedules were being determined as of press time. To participate in workouts, students need to registered for DHS.

DHS FCCLA student snags silver state medal

Dublin High School was well represented in the national Family, Community and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) competition as NavaLee White participated in the Job Interview Level 2 Contest July 1-7 in Denver, Colorado. White was selected as one of the 8,000 across the U.S.

Tarleton to host track camp

Tarleton Track and Field is set to host five camps in Stephenville this summer. The Texans will host all five camps at Oscar H. Frazier Memorial Track beginning with a high jump clinic on July 12.
