The Dublin Lions had a long trek to Liberty Hill Friday, Sept. 22 as they faced the Florence Buffaloes but the 2hour plus drive paid off with the first win of the season. “We got off to a good start and kept the momentum,” said head Dublin football coach/athletic director Greg Hardcastle.

Paul Gaudette Managing Editor Dublin Secondary School will be hosting 14 schools Saturday, Sept. 30 for the third Annual Harry Bradberry Marching Classic. Entrance fee for the event is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. (Dublin ISD staff get in for free.

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 85-86 degrees; 7.89 feet below pool. Black bass to 5.75 pounds are fair on jigs, shaky heads, crankbaits and frogs in 2-15 feet of water. Crappie are slow in brush piles and around docks on minnows in 12-16 feet of water. White bass are slow to 1.

Ladies battle dogs

Lady Lions matches went to the dogs last week as they faced the Millsap Bulldogs and Peaster Greyhounds. They faced Millsap Tuesday, Sept. 19 on the Dublin High School home court, racking up 18, 10 and 10 points to the Bulldogs’ 25s.
