Ladies win at home, Hamilton

The Lady Lions added wins to their new season at home and in the Hamilton Tournament where they placed 4th. The Dublin ladies claimed a 55-27 victory over Santo at home on Nov. 15 “It was another slow start for us, but we finished well,” head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez.

Lady Lions starting strong

The Dublin Lady Lions claimed a victory and held their own against a stat-ranked team last week. The Dublin girls bested Bangs 42-36 Saturday. “We came out slow the first half and picked up our intensity to finish it out,”  said head Lady Lions girls basketball coach Kim Perez.

Armstrong Masonic Lodge No. 445 in DeLeon is hosting the Second Annual Holiday Classic Youth Basketball Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Armstrong Lodge Scholarship Program.

Pulses were as quick as the volleys on the Brownwood court Monday night as the 12-9 Lingleville Lady Cardinals made school history and clenched the Regional Quarterfinal Championship win over the 27-7 Rochelle Lady Hornets. (Rochelle had been ranked fifth in state for 1A teams earlier in the day.

Lady Lions start strong

The Dublin Lady Lions were edged out 37-36 by Gordon in overtime in an away game that kicked off the 2022 basketball season. “This was by far the best game I have seen them play in the two years I’ve been here,” said Dublin’s head girls basketball coach Kim Perez.

Cards end season

The Lingleville Cardinals ended their 5-5 season Friday at Gorman when they fell 83-35 to the Panthers. “I’m very proud of our boys for adjusting to a new way of playing football,” said Lingleville head football coach Trent Taylor.
