Tri-Angler event this weekend

If you’re fishing for some big payouts and fun at Proctor Lake this weekend, The Jim Lampman Memorial Crappie Tournament is sure to lure you in. The fishing tournament features competition in crappie, youth (16 and younger) and bow fishing divisions.

Weekly COVID Report - April 16, 2021

Erath County officials reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday, April 8 that was released the next morning. Both of the positive cases were within the city limits of Stephenville. Total deaths since March 2020 were reported at 68 by the Department of State Health Services.

Fishing report

BROWNWOOD Water stained; 58 degrees; 3.26 low. Largemouth bass are fair with jerk baits, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and skirted jigs in coves, shorelines, and timber in 2-10’. Crappie are fair on minnows in brush piles and near bridge pilings, with some crappie caught in the creeks.

Eastern Tent Caterpillar I have been getting several calls and getting pictures of the Eastern Tent Caterpillar. The conditions have been good for the small caterpillars.
