Weekly COVID Report - March 26, 2021

Erath County officials reported three new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday, March 25 that was released the next morning. One of the positive cases were within the city limits of Stephenville, one was in a Dublin resident while the other was a rural resident of the county.

Fishing report

BROWNWOOD Water stained; 51 degrees; 3.05 low. Largemouth bass are slow with spinners, crankbaits, and jigs in coves, shorelines, and timber in 8-15’. Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles and timber edges near a creek channel or drop-off.

Comanche County Peanut Program Peanuts were once the primary crop in the county and while acreage will probably never be what is was at one time, it is on the increase. The quality of nut we can grow in the area is a bit higher here than other higher producing areas.

The Dublin FFA

The Dublin FFA Cotton Judging Team (above) of Wyatt Watson, Maeleigh Geijsel, Joli St. Germain, Skyler Morones, Chrissy Lehman, Frida Villicana, and Maryli Garcia placed first out of 15 teams at the Cisco College Career Development Contest on Monday.
