MS Trail Ride returns May 1

May 1 marks the return of the annual Cowboy Capital Trail Ride at Tarleton’s Hunewell Ranch in Stephenville after the event was forced to cancel in 2020 due to the social distancing guidelines that were in effect last year.

Weekly COVID Update

Erath County officials reported three new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Monday, April 19 that was released the next morning. Three of the positive cases were within the city limits of Stephenville while the other was a rural resident of the county.

April 9 At 9:43 p.m. three cows were out on FM 1188 East when a vehicle struck and killed one, the others awaiting owner. April 10 At 2:19 p.m. power lines in trees on CR 368 sparked a grass fire. April 12 At 6:49 a.m.

POLICE LOG

April 12 A report was made for a dog bite on the 300 block of Cherrywine Caller reported a reckless driver all over the road way on Hwy 6. April 13 Caller reported that she hit a car in the apartment’s parking lot, no reported injuries, the caller just needed a report on Highland.

Ther Erath County Grand Jury returned 21 indictments on Thursday.

Despite Friday morning rains

Despite Friday morning rains, drivers came out to the DeLeon Heritage Park Friday night and Saturday ready to compete in the TTPA Tractor Pull held in conjunction with the Lone Star Equipment Show Friday and Saturday.
