Stop the Silence set April 28 in downtown Stephenville

Communities are teaming up to Stop the Silence in regards to violent crime, sexual assault and child abuse.April is the recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 19-25), National Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Keep Dublin Beautiful set highway cleanup event April 25

The Dublin community is invited to help Keep Dublin Beautiful as the group hosts a trash-off event Saturday, April 25 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in conjunction with Keep Texas Beautiful’s April Greatest American Cleanup events.

Early voting starts Monday

Early voting for the May 2 local election will kick off Monday, April 20, with Dublin ISD, Stephenville ISD and Stephenville Council all having races.Early voting will be held Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sville Council approves first step for new city hall

The city of Stephenville has entered a preliminary development agreement with North 94 Land Development LLC. to begin work on the first phase of a new city hall.City Manager Jason King detailed the project and the history leading up to the decision at the Tuesday, April 7 city council meeting.

Newspaper receives 9 awards
