Monte Thiebaud retires after 46 years in banking

Bank of Houston Dublin branch president and longtime community leader Monte Thiebaud retired Wednesday, March 31 after 30 consecutive years with the branch and 46 years in local banking.Thiebaud first joined the location in 1980 as he was finishing up at Tarleton.

Alternate routes set due to construction

The downtown intersection returned to regular traffic lights and Patrick Street entrances were closed to several businesses as TxDOT crews finished paving in the 200 block of North Patrick last week and moved road repairs north on Dublin’s main street.

150 Years of Faith: Methodist congregation starts in Kiker cabin

On April 18, Greens Creek Methodist Church will celebrate their 150th anniversary. Greens Creek Methodist was organized on February 18, 1876, when a Sunday School was organized at the one room cabin of Civil War Captain Eli Roberson Kiker, on what is now known as the Mayfield Farm and Ranch.

1 arrested in fatal shooting

One person has been arrested in conjunction with a fatal shooting occurring over the weekend in Stephenville.According to information released by the Stephenville Police Department, at around midnight April 2, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 300 block of South Lillian Avenue.

FFA Spring plant sale this weekend

Regardless of rain or shine this weekend, beautiful blooms will be for sale at the Dublin FFA Spring Plant Sale.The event is set from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 11 and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 12 at the FFA greenhouse located behind the Dublin High School.
