Garden club learns about mulching

The Dublin Garden Club held their regular scheduled meeting October 11th. Guest speaker was Paul Bradberry. Paul spoke about the proper use of compost, fertilizer and mulching. It is very important to know the size being treated so that the correct amount is used.

Citizen, Chamber to offer virtual costume contest

The Dublin Citizen and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce are partnering together for this year’s annual virtual costume contest. All ages are welcome to participate including adults. From Friday, Oct. 27 through Tuesday, Oct. 31 submit your photos of people in costume to composing@dublincitizen.

Star Gala set for next week

The Third Annual Star Gala for Morning Star Ranch is quickly approaching and tickets are still available. The event is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 at Celebration Events Center at 9710 CR 209 in Hico. The mix and mingle will be held at 6 p.m. and the performance begins at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday club experiences ghost stories for October

The new year of programs for the Thursday Club were kicked off at the lovely, historic home of Denise Weems. In the absence of both president and vice-president Leta Sage presided.

Police Log

There was a report of loud music on Betty Street. An officer made contact with individuals and they turned the music down. There was a male passed out in his vehicle with multiple open containers in the 700 block of Patrick.
