The Lingleville School Board approved several items before being recognized during the regular board meeting Thursday, Jan. 11.

Following the meeting, board members were treated to a meal and messages from students and staff as January is National School Board Recognition month.

After hearing from an architect, the board determined the district could begin fundraising efforts for sports facility improvements including a combined building for concessions/locker rooms/ restroom at the football field and a weight room.

The board also heard the annual audit from Edgin, Parkman, Fleming & Fleming, PC and unanimously accepted the report.

The board unanimously designated the bus route as dangerous. Lingleville makes this designation annually so they can pick up students in the immediate area of the school so students don’t have to walk to and along FM219 and FM8 with their high rates of speed.
