Volunteers needed for Revitalize project

Revitalize Dublin is continuing to work on improving Dublin and needs support as they help a family with basic needs in the second project set for Nov. 4 at 8 a.m. This project centers on wrapping and installing siding and underpinning on a residence at 432 N. Park.

Local student selected to state FFA leaders

Stephenville FFA student Shayla Mader was one of ten students selected for the 2023 Ford Leadership Scholars. The Ford Leadership Scholars program is a result of the Texas FFA Foundation and Texas Ford Dealers partnership to enhance the leadership opportunities of Texas FFA members.

They spent the day attending leadership workshops and participating in team building, communication, and goal setting activities. Halloween events on tap

A ton of spooktacular fun is set to commence for Halloween and citizens are invited to attend all kinds of events. The Dublin Chamber of Commerce’s annual Safe Trick-or-Treat will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31 starting at 5 p.m. in the downtown area. Businesses will be handing out all kinds of treats.

Early voting continues

Early voting for 14 Constitutional Amendments Nov. 7 election is continuing this week. Early voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 27; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 through Wednesday, Nov. 1 and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2-Friday, Nov. 3.

A firefighter battles a blaze at Veldhuizen Cheese Friday, Oct. 20. The machinery shop was a complete loss and according to Erath County Fire Marshal Tommy Shelton, the accidental fi re is still under investigation as to what started it.
