Voting starts Monday for council, mayor

Early voting for the Saturday, May 4 local election will begin Monday, April 22 and will include the mayoral race along with two city council seats.

Mayor runs to continue progress

“I never had any intention of being mayor,” said incumbent Dublin mayoral candidate David Leatherwood. “I just felt I needed to run.”This was 10 years ago. Leatherwood feels things have improved in that time, but there is still more to do.“There’s a lot that I’m proud of,” Leatherwood said.

Rabies clinic set Tuesday, April 16

Dublin Veterinary Clinic and Bradberry’s Best are partnering for the annual rabies clinic from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16. The event will be held at Bradberry’s Best (621 S. Patrick, Dublin).

MTGCD to host public hearing on rule changes

The Middle Trinity Groundwater Conservation District will host a public hearing on proposed rule changes May 9 at 1 p.m. before its next monthly meeting.The hearing was approved by directors during the regular meeting Thursday, April 4.

Dublin students were recognized this week by the Erath County Commissioners Court after success in powerlifting.

A reporting person requested a welfare check on co-worker who did not show up to work. Contact was made over the phone and she was OK.There was a report of a dog in the 700 block of North Grafton that is on a chain and never seems to have water out there. The call was referred to Animal Control.
