The Dublin Diamonds 8u softball team is shining bright as they head to state competition next month “In a way, it’s really emotional because it’s my daughter [on the team] and all my girls practice a lot,” said head coach Clarence Loflin.

Dublin Boy Scout Troop 30 is asking locals to dig into their closet instead of their pockets with a new fundraiser befitting their trip to camp and merit badge fees.

Teten named FCA MVP

2023 Dublin High School graduate Chris Teten donned a Dublin cap one more time before heading to play for McMurry University in the fall, claiming MVP in the Big Country Fellowship of Christian Athletes All-Star Baseball game.

80+ Stampede in Lions Club run

The annual Irish Stampede 10, 5 and 2K drew more than 80 runners early Saturday morning as they headed out the gate by Dublin Public Library. Prizes were awarded in each age division as well as to the overall top male and female runners listed below.

The Dublin City Park was filled with coaches, players and fans this weekend as the Dublin Baseball and Softball Association held a Swing for Da Fences tournament fundraiser. Spectators were also treated to some great concessions from both the Fifth and on-site food vendors.

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 76-80 degrees; 4.91 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.57 pounds are good on worms, crankbaits and shaky heads in 4-12 feet of water. Crappie are good in brush piles on jigs in 11-14 feet of water using minnows around the docks. White bass are fair to 1.

Dublin High School head softball coach Teryl Dunn, staff and players led a group of more than 20 youngsters in softball camp last week on the Lady Lion home diamond. On the final day of camp, Dunn and varsity Lady Lions introduced kids to the fundamentals of the game with a kickball match.
