JV boys take silver at District

The JV Cross Country boys took silver at the district meet at Dublin Wednesday, Oct. 9 as varsity boys narrowly missed qualifying for regional competition.“I’m really proud of these runners this year,” said head cross country coach Wes Grisham.

Local lifters take gold at worlds meet

Dublin High School grad Levi Bamber was all smiles as he shared his team’s results from their 16-hour drive to the IPA worlds powerlifting champion event in Bristol, Tennessee this month.

The Dublin Lions may have logged a loss in their first district game Oct. 11 but the pride put forth prowess in shrinking the score gap by game’s end while garnering some impressive stats.

Lady Cards stretch win streak to 9

Lingleville Lady Cardinals extended their winning streak to nine last week after a pair of wins over Rising Star and Gustine.The battle against Rising Star Oct. 8 was a tough one as Lingleville claimed sets one and two in narrow 26-24 and 25-23 finishes.

8th Lions claims wins

The Dublin 8th Grade Lions are 1-0 in District after claiming back-to-back wins Thursday, Sept. 26 in DeLeon and against Brady at home Thursday, Oct. 10.The Lions claimed the DeLeon game 34-20 and started the battle off with the right intensity from the opening kickoff.

Ladies battle Bulldogs, Rattlers

The Dublin Lady Lions brought a fierce battle to the Millsap Bulldogs Oct. 12 following a home loss to the Tolar Rattlers.The Dublin volleyball girls fell within 8 points of Millsap on set 1, ending 25-17. The Lady Lions followed this with putting up 13 and 14 points in sets 2 and 3 respectively.
