The Dublin Lions football boys and cheerleaders were joined by some special guests during the Friday, Oct. 25 game. Minicheeleaders joined the Jr. High and varsity cheer squads in routines on the field before the game and on the sideline during play.

Dublin Lions fight in face of state finalist foe

The Dublin Lions had trouble finding footing in Rattler Country Friday, Oct. 18 as they battled Tolar in an away 56-14 loss.Greg Hardcastle, head Dublin football coach and athletic director said he was proud of his team’s effort in facing a team who was a state finalist last year.

Lady Cards District Champs

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals volleyball girls were perched as District Champs of 14-1A and 23rd in state after extending their win streak to 11 last week after a pair of home victories.On Oct. 15, they fought for a four-set win over Bluff Dale.

Lady Lions scrap in road games

The Dublin Lady Lions traveled to Peaster and Comanche last week to battle the Greyhounds and Maidens The Lady Lions put up 4, 15 and 7 in three sets against Peaster Oct. 15.Yasmin Esparza led in stats with 6 digs while Sandra Vazquez had 4 digs and Summer Anderson had 3 digs and an assist.

The JV Cross Country boys took silver at the district meet at Dublin Wednesday, Oct. 9 as varsity boys narrowly missed qualifying for regional competition.“I’m really proud of these runners this year,” said head cross country coach Wes Grisham.
