It has been a rough start to the season, but perseverance from these girls and I think we will turn it around in district.”
Leading scorer for Lingleville was Kenleigh Jones with 8 points.
The Lady Cardinals won their game against Florence with losses to Trinity Valley, Hico and May.
“The girls fought hard all tournament long, and came away with their first victory of the season,” said Haught. “We beat Florence, who had a pretty good squad. I was proud of the way the girls played all tournament despite going against bigger schools. It has been a theme for our athletics program this year, and I think it makes us tougher each time we step out there.”
