Lions host homecoming

The Dublin stands were filled with big cheers and bigger mums Friday night as the Lions took on the Bowie Jackrabbits for homecoming.

Fishing Report

GOOD. Water stained; 81 degrees; 0.40 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 4 pounds being caught on buzz baits and frogs in the new water in the grass and weeds. Crankbaits will hook a catch off the rocks in 2-8 feet around the rock cuts.

Homecoming set Friday

The Dublin Lions will be showing off their green and gold spirit this week as Homecoming takes place.The Lions will face off against the Bowie Jackrabbits Friday night with kickoff at 7 p.m.Homecoming Queen coronation and Homecoming Court recognition will occur at 6:30 p.m.

Lions, Tigers go claw for claw

Dublin Lions fans were treated to a tough fight if they followed the team to Anson Friday night with a call and response game that was tied 14-14 at halftime.“Anson scored pretty quick but we came right back and answered them,” said Dublin head football coach/athletic director Greg Hardcastle.

Lady Cards add Ws

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals added two Ws to their season last week as they faced Iredell at home and Meridian in an away faceoff.The Lingleville Cards looked comfortable as they came out to an early lead against Iredell in a Sept. 10 home game, capturing all three sets.

Both Tarleton State University rodeo teams take to the arena for the first time this season Thursday at the three-day Eastern New Mexico University Rodeo.
