The Dublin Lions will be showing off their green and gold spirit this week as Homecoming takes place.The Lions will face off against the Bowie Jackrabbits Friday night with kickoff at 7 p.m.Homecoming Queen coronation and Homecoming Court recognition will occur at 6:30 p.m.

The JV boys have played at home the past two weeks falling 38-8 against Millsap Sept. 5 and 23-12 to Anson Sept. 12. Dublin Lions fans were treated to a tough fight if they followed the team to Anson Friday night with a call and response game that was tied 14-14 at halftime.“Anson scored pretty quick but we came right back and answered them,” said Dublin head football coach/athletic director Greg Hardcastle.

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals added two Ws to their season last week as they faced Iredell at home and Meridian in an away faceoff.The Lingleville Cards looked comfortable as they came out to an early lead against Iredell in a Sept. 10 home game, capturing all three sets.
