Dublin hosts DeLeon

The Dublin Lady Lions hosted the DeLeon Bearcats Tuesday, Nov. 26.Head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez said the home team had problem scoring points when they were needed and got edged out 45-39.Olivia Salyer led in Dublin scoring with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Cardinals claim win

Lingleville Cardinals clinched a 38-37 nailbiter Tuesday, Nov. 26 when they traveled to Hico to take on the Tigers.“Hico played great, and gave us a hard time throughout the entire game,” said head Lingleville boys basketball coach Garrett Stewart.

Tarleton State University’s Rodeo Hall of Fame inducted four new members — Robert Blandford, Ryle Smith, Baili Collins-Nettleship and Cassie Vierstra Christensen — at the organization’s 15th annual steak dinner and auction Friday, Nov. 15, at the Doty Rodeo Complex.

The Dublin Lions conquered Cross Plains 68-48 in a Tuesday, Nov. 19 home game on the Neff Gym floor.“It took us 16 min to remember how to play basketball and together as a team but we came back and put on a show defensively and offensively,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.

JV Boys Basketball Coach Hayden Hoerdemann said the home team came out with a lot of energy and has adopted into the fast paced play they’ve been practicing. He praised the players’ defense and willingness to create havoc.
