Lady Lions take on Tolar, Millsap

The Dublin Lady Lions narrowly dropped a Friday, Dec. 13 home game to Millsap 38-37.“We hustled against Millsap,” said Dublin head girls basketball coach Kim Perez. “We came out hot and lost it second half.” Dublin led 22-17 at the half but Millsap rallied following the break.

The Lingleville Cardinals finished last week 4-1 after a 54-37 home win over Millsap before taking on opponents in the home tournament.“A lot of hoops were played last week,” said head Lingleville boys basketball coach Garrett Stewart. “We showed up defensively and held teams below their average.

The Dublin Lady Lions went 2-2 in the home tournament held Dec. 5- 7.The varsity girls started in strong form on Thursday, Dec. 5, besting Goldthwaite JV 47-23. Olivia Salyer and Emma Vargas led scoring in the game with 12 each, followed closely by NavaLee White with 10.
