Lady Lions clash at Classic

The Dublin Lady Lions went 1-3 in the Dec. 26-28 Texas Bank Holiday Classic in Brownwood.Head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez admitted Day 1 was long as the Dublin ladies squared off against Gorman and Goldthwaite, garnering 67-12 and 52-29 losses respectively.

Dublin Lions fan were treated to a big show in the early afternoon of Friday, Dec. 20 as the Lions battled rival Comanche to an 80-59 win on the home court.“Our guys were hungry for this game and showed up,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.

Local grads honored at Midwest

MidwesternStateUniversity recognized 1,080 honor students for the Fall 2024 semester.Chloey Rollins of Dublin was named to the Prvost’s Honor Roll. Parker Plaxco of Stephenville was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll.A student who completes 12 hours in one semester with a grade point average of 3.
