Lingleville Cardinals 3-0 in district

The Lingleville Cardinals came back after a long Christmas break refreshed and started the second half of their season with a 58-22 home win over Walnut Springs.“We stepped on the court ready to play, and it showed,” said head Lingleville boys basketball coach Garrett Stewart of the Jan. 3 face-off.

Lady Cardinal clash settled in OT

Cardinals fans had their pulses racing as the team hosted Walnut Springs in a close back and forth battle Friday, Jan. 3.“We found ourselves down by 6 at half and managed to tie the game back up in the 3rd,” said head Lingleville girls basketball coach Brandon Haught.

Lions climb to second after W

Dublin Lions were sitting at second place in district following a 42-36 win over Breckenridge Friday, Jan. 3.“I’m really proud of how our guys handled a rough and physical game,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.

Lions fight for 3rd in tourney

The Dublin Lions battled in the Brownwood Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament Dec. 26-28 and narrowly lost third place following a 78-77 thriller overtime loss to Big Spring in the final round.

Lady Lions clash at Classic

The Dublin Lady Lions went 1-3 in the Dec. 26-28 Texas Bank Holiday Classic in Brownwood.Head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez admitted Day 1 was long as the Dublin ladies squared off against Gorman and Goldthwaite, garnering 67-12 and 52-29 losses respectively.
