LHS athletes advance

Lingleville High School is sending several athletes to regional competition following recent events. Golf The boys took second place as a team to advance. Players are:Cade Lingle, Caden Howard, Joseph Briseno, Klaas Schievink and Memphis Bays. Emma Hudson also received second place Medalist.

BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water stained; 53-56 degrees; 2.29 feet low. Black bass are slow with catches up to 5.5 pounds in the main lake in 8-10 feet of water in the bushes on crankbaits, and in 2-7 feet of water in bushes on spinnerbaits, and spinnerbaits or senkos up the rivers.

The Dublin Lady Lions moved to 1-5 in district after a 16-0 shutout Friday at Millsap and 15-6 home loss to Eastland on March 22. The Lions are at 1-3 following a 10-6 away loss to Millsap and a 15-5 home win over Eastland. — Paul Gaudette

The Dublin High School Golf team’s season is in full swing with a strong appearance last week at Shady Oaks Country Club in Baird on Thursday. DHS golf coach Wes Grisham reported his players faced windy weather and a narrow course as they strived to hit their marks.

Tarleton hosting summer VB camps

The Tarleton Volleyball program will be hosting four summer camps over the months of June and July for young athletes between first grade and senior in high school. Elite Camps are open to high-school age athletes for a total cost of $100 per camp.
