Dublin lifters place at Decatur

The Dublin Powerlifting boys traveled to Decatur on Friday for the Regional meet. Although none advanced to the state level, several placed high in their division. “First off, I’m very proud of these young men for the way they have competed all year long,” said coach Mondrae Ingram.

Haley resigns as superintendent

The Lingleville ISD School board accepted the resignation of Superintendent Curt Haley effective this summer. The acceptance followed a long executive session in Thursday’s regular meeting.

DBSA in need of umpires

The Dublin Baseball and Softball Association is looking for umpires for their youth games. Umpires can be high school age and up for in the field positions and 18 and up for behind the plate. Umpires in the field can make $10 per game and umpires behind the plate can earn $20.

The Lingleville Cardinals ended their season as Regional Quarterfinal champions after defeating Morgan 72-53 and falling to Dodd City 47-31 in the Semifinals.

A large number of Dublin Lions earned postseason distinctions this year as district selections were made this week. Making the First Team All-District were: juniors Ayush Patel (shooting guard) and Dalan Rasberry (point guard).
