Michael Glen Weems

Body
Michael Glen Weems passed peacefully from this world on September 14, 2021, he was 72 years old. Born in Dublin, TX, to Sherman Ralph and Wanda Nell (Falkner) Weems, Mike, as he liked to be called, lived all over Texas, as did many Phillips Oilfield families, until settling in Lovington, NM where he graduated from Lovington High School in 1966. He attended New Mexico Junior College in its first year of existence, and graduated with an Associates Degree from San Diego Mesa College.

Michael Boyd “Mack” Day, 79, went to be with the Lord, one day before his 80th birthday, on September 4, 2021 in Weatherford, Texas. He was born on September 5, 1941 in Stephenville, Texas to his parents James Loren Day and Mary Vestina Green.

HALL

Wilma and husband Herman spent their entire married life in Dublin, for which she was most pleased... “no better place in the world.” Survivors include two sons, two daughters-in-law, two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

JONES

Melba Laverne Jones was born on December 15, 1934, in Erath County. She went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2021, at the age of 86. She was the eldest daughter of Bluford D. Christian and Clara Lucille (Southall) Christian.

GARCIA

Jose Garcia, 61, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2021 in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on September 1, 1960 in Mexico to his parents Esteban Garcia and Gregoria Cruz. Jose married his wife, Jaqueline Chavez Garcia, in 2004. Jose had three children Fernando, Jose Armando, and Amanda Garcia. He was affiliated with St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Joy White Welch-Miller passed on September 10, 2021 After Battling medical issues due to complications to diabetes. Joy and her family lived and worked in Dublin and Stephenville area for many years.

STEVENS

Wanona L. (Gilbreath) Stevens, 81, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 16, 1940, in Dublin, Texas to her parents Oran Gilbreath and Wilma (Gibson) Gilbreath Woods. Wanona graduated from Dublin High School in 1959 and began her college degree at Howard Payne University shorty after high school. She went on to pursue a career at Carters Blood Bank and then on to working for a few insurance companies in San Antonio, Texas. Wanona married her husband, Jack Stevens, on December 28, 1962, and together they adopted one daughter, Kimberly Kay (Stevens) Brown, in 1970. She was affiliated with Edna Hill Baptist Church.

ASHCRAFT

Troy Howard Ashcraft was the sixth child out of nine born to Ruth Laura Gray Ashcraft and Charlie Clay Ashcraft. Troy was born at home in Sanger, Texas on April 11, 1930. He married Hazel Christian on November 25, 1976. He passed to his heavenly home on August 27, 2021 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville, Texas.

Grayson Scott Bishop, 3, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021 in Oregan. He was born on February 27, 2018 in Granbury, Texas to his parents Ross Lewis Bishop, Jr. and Tracey Marie (Higgins) Ashley. Grayson’s favorite things are Spiderman, Buz Lightyear, and Mickey Mouse. He was known for big, beautiful, smile.

A Graveside Service for Winnie Evelyn Rasberry, 88, was held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 22, 2021, at West End Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12:00 P.M. - 1:00 P.M. Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Lacy Funeral Home.
