Jimmy George Johnson, 82, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2021. He was born on October 12, 1938 in Purves, Texas to his parents Jewel (Bristow) and Claude William Johnson. Jimmy earned his associates degree and began working at the Dublin National Bank in the accounting department for over thirty years. He later retired from Higgenbothom Funeral Home of Texas as a bookkeeper. He married his wife, Welda (Akin) Johnson June 6, 1960 and together they had two children, Judy and Randy Johnson. Jimmy was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin, Texas.

Juan Ignacio Riojas Moreno

Juan Ignacio Riojas Moreno went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2021, in Dublin, Texas. He was born on June 27, 1950 in (*place*) to Fidencia Moreno Mendoza and Miguel Arcangel Riojas Palomares. Juan was raised by his mother, Fidencia Moreno Mendoza and his stepfather, Rafael Renteria. Juan graduated from Instituto Bíblico Berea in Springfield, MO and began his career as Pastor of the Vida Abundante Assembly of God Church in Dublin, Texas and continued as pastor for 28 years. Juan married Maria Isabel (Padron) Riojas on September 1, 1990 and together they had six children.

Jerry “Big John” Pettijohn crossed over to the Lord on June 15, 2021 in his home at the age of 69 being born on February 29, 1952 in Gorman, Tx. to Sam and Janiece Pettijohn.

Jerry Byron Lee

Jerry Byron Lee unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021. He was born on August 28, 1939, in Dublin, Texas to his parents Rosa Lee (Hamilton) Lee and Robert Morris Lee. Jerry earned his bachelor’s degree in Agronomy at Texas A&M University and started his career in agriculture for the government. Shortly after his graduation, in 1964, Jerry married and through that marriage he had two children Byron and Barbara. Jerry worked for the Department of Defense and Soil Conservation Service. He later pursed a career in as an agronomist for the state of Texas and retired in 1994.

Dorothy “Dot” Gilbreath, 98, of Big Spring, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 11, 2021, at the Nalley- Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev Bill Ivins officiating.

Timmy Joe Keith

Timmy Joe Keith passed away on May 30, 2021 in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on July 19, 1959 in Dublin, Texas to Wayne and Pearl Keith. Tim had been employed at Tejas Tubular Production until his health started declining. Tim was a Baptist in faith. He loved the outdoors and he was always willing to help others.

Celinda Ann Morrow unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2021. She was born on July 12, 1977 in Dublin, Texas to her parents Walter Eugene, II and Carolyn Ann (Baugh) Whisenant. Celinda graduated from Dublin High School. She then earned her Associates Degree and began working as a home health caregiver. Celinda married her husband, Kevin Morrow, on January 18, 2003 and together they had two children, Ashleigh and Tyler Morrow. She was member of the Double N Cowboy Church in Dublin, Texas. Some might know Celinda by the name “Bubbles”, this is what her family, friends, and children of the community would call her. She gained that wonderful nickname when she was just a few hours old and would make bubbles with her mouth. She was known for her involvement in the Dublin community from coaching sports activities to attending everyday gatherings around town. Celinda was a devoted mother, daughter, and wife and was dedicated to her family. She never met a stranger and would go out of her way to make sure you knew you were loved but would not hesitate to share her honest thoughts and opinions. Celinda had the best sense of humor and was for sure the life of the party.

LUKER

Roynald “Ron” Joe Luker, 76 years (Aug 2nd, 1944 - May 9th 2021), went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 9th, 2021 in his home in Arthur City, Texas. Ron Luker was born to Roy Dee and Thelma Jo Luker in Knox City, Texas in 1944.

REED

Troy “Rocky” Lemoinse Reed, 88, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2021 in McGregor, Texas. He was born on July 21, 1932 in Knox County, Texas to his parents Clarence Andrews Reed and Clara Mae (Dixon) Reed. Rocky earned his associates degree and worked in the Tarleton Maintenance Department where he retired. He married Elda (Everett) Reed on November 1, 1952 and together they had four children. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Rocky was always looking for ways to help others, whether that be fixing their cars or bikes or simply putting a smile on someone’s face. At one point, Rocky had a “bike shop” open for all of the kids in his neighborhood and he would fix their bikes for free. He would grow flowers in his garden and deliver them around town to all of the business’. Rocky was know for his caring and helpful personality and is defined as a true gentleman. He has been a resident of Dublin, Texas since 1972. Rocky was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

FAULKNER

Danny Faulkner, 80, passed away on April 29, 2021 in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on May 10, 1940 in Dublin, Texas to his parents William Ed Faulkner and Bertie Mae Mitchell. Danny worked as a foreman at a local peanut company for many years. He married Elizabeth (Deihl) Faulkner in 1967 and she preceded him in death in 2001. He later married Geri (Bundick) Faulkner who, later, also preceded him in death. Danny served in the United States Army.
