KoC fish fry continues Friday

The Stephenville Knights of Columbus continue their annual Lenten Fish Fry this Friday at Newman Hall. The weekly event will run from 5:00-7-00 p.m. Fridays thru April8. The meal will consist of fish, coleslaw, hushpuppies, french fries, tea, and dessert. Prices this year are $15 on all orders.

February 26 At 5:46 p.m. a group of men claiming they were with Encore were going door to door trying to tell solar systems on CR 437. They were determined to work for a company called Lumio. February 27 At 12:12 p.m. three puppies who were dumped in a ditch on CR 299 near CR 300 were found dead.

Wreck claims one

On March 2, 2022 at approximately 10:15 p. m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a one vehicle fatality crash on US Highway 281 near Morgan Mill in Erath County. Preliminary investigation indicates a 2010 Acura passenger vehicle was traveling north on US 281.

Eggs sought for Easter event

Dublin Dairy Queen, Chamber of Commerce Calvary Fellowship and several other community businesses, organizations and volunteers have joined together to organize an Easter Egg Hunt on April 15 at the Dublin City Park from 10 a.m. to noon.

DBSA in need of umpires

The Dublin Baseball and Softball Association is looking for umpires for their youth games. Umpires can be high school age and up for in the field positions and 18 and up for behind the plate. Umpires in the field can make $10 per game and umpires behind the plate can earn $20.

Dubliners gifted free land, title for St. Pat’s

Dublin’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration is this weekend (see special section in the March 10 edition for more information) and this year’s festivities bring a unique gift for every Dublin resident: a plot of land in Ardmore, Ireland and the official titles of ‘Lord’ or ‘Lady.
