Market Days returns April 16 The promise of spring comes to Dublin, and also a promise of local produce, goods, and crafts at Dublin Market Days. Bright, warm spring days bring a fun Market in Dublin. The April Market at Wright Park will be April 16, 9 a.m. through 1 p.m.

April 15 is property tax deadline

The Texas Comptroller’s office reminds business owners that for many property types, April 15 is the deadline to file property tax renditions with their county appraisal districts. Different deadlines apply for certain regulated property.

100 years ago March 31, 1922 The community recognized the passing of Capt. Ben Green, also known as “Uncle Bennie.” Green, a Mississippi native, moved into Erath County in 1877, when he settled four miles east of Dublin.

March 22 A Reporting Person called Dublin PD about something carved into their trash can. March 23 Dublin PD was called by someone in relation to a a loud boom that shook the caller’s house. The PD advised the noise was a sonic boom from jets flying overhead.

SHERIFF'S REPORT

March 25 At 11:48 p.m. a neighbor’s hay bales and pasture were seen on fire on CR 376 which took over four hours to put out. March 26 At 6:22 p.m. a report of a female driving a red truck was attempting to “serve documents” and gain personal information on FM 1702 around 1:30 p.m. At 7:12 p.m.

Tarleton now staging Liar

The Tarleton State University Department of Fine Arts presents The Liar, David Ives’ hilarious 17thcentury French farce through Saturday at the theater of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville. The curtain rises each night at 7:30.
