Sales tax collections up for August

Dublin sales tax collections were up quite a bit in August, at 16.17% in August, compared to August 2021, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar this month. In 2022, for the month of August Dublin received $51,059.90 compared to $43,951.

Stacey Johnston has always been a hard worker. In high school, she played sports and earned a basketball scholarship, and later, as a single mom, she earned her teaching certificate and began a new career.

Revival set for Sunday, Oct. 30

Green’s Creek Baptist Church will be hosting a community revival Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Stephenville City Park Pavilion. Food and fellowship will begin at 5 p.m. followed by worship at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend, organizers said.

An officer made contact with three subjects and three vehicles in the 100 block of North Patrick that were on the side of the road. One of the vehicles broke down and they were trying to fix it.
