It’s hard to believe that the 2nd Six Weeks is coming to an end this Friday, October 28th. Report cards will be sent out on Friday, November 4th. November 1st starts the beginning of the third six-week grading period. Therefore, semester finals will be here before we know it.

Early voting continues

Early voting for the November mid-term election, which features a slew of candidates including Texas Governor is continuing with the Dublin location opening Monday. Early voting will be held at the Erath County Courthouse from; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct.

Wrecks claim four

Four different fatality accidents occurred over the past week in Erath County and Stephenville. A fatality occurred Tuesday, Oct. 25 in Stephenville around 7:30 a.m. involving three vehicles.

Halloween events take Dublin by storm

Halloween is finally here and several fun events are on tap to help the community celebrate the spooktacular season. The Stephenville Area Elks Lodge No. 2834 will be hosting a Trunk or Treat from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at Celebration Park, 198 E. Elm Street in Dublin.

Derailed near Bluff Dale

All hands were on deck this weekend for a train derailment on County Road 151 near Bluff Dale. According to information released by Erath County Emergency Coordinator Cyndi Smith, a train owned by Fort Worth Western Railroad derailed Saturday, Oct. 22 around 3 a.m.
