Dublin lost a man devoted to his family and community Saturday, June 17 as Jim Harrell, 82, died at his home surrounded by family. Harrell was the third generation owner of Dublin’s Harrell Funeral Home from 1972-2017 and took over responsibilities from his father, Theodore Page Harrell.

Comanche Museum hosting game day

The Comanche County Museum is pleased to announce that they have fun and exciting activities planned for families to enjoy. There will be a Game Day on Thursday, June 22 from 3- 4:30 p.m. with refreshments. They have several Old-Fashioned games to choose from.

Double N Cowboy Church to host VBS next week

The Double N Cowboy Church will be hosting a Stellar Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 19Thursday, June 22. The VBS is open to students Pre-K through 6th grade and includes activities, music and meals are provided. The church is located at 7202 E. State Hwy. 6 in Dublin.

Kikers Gin is an important landmark in the history of Dublin, but the journey to creating Kikers Gin actually started back before the civil war. John Leander Kiker as a child had to figure what to do when his mother died when he was age 9.
