This Saturday the community is invited out to support a great cause as the third annual Rylan Strong Network Wheels of Hope rolls into town. The annual benefit car, bike and truck show will be hosted at Red Barrel Bar and Grill in Dublin Saturday, Oct.

Masonic Chili dinner, blood drive set Oct. 19

The Stephenville Masonic Lodge will host a chili cook-off and blood drive Saturday, Oct. 19 at the lodge (244 S. Columbia).Entry fees for the cookoff are $20 with prizes awarded for first and second place.

Sept. 16There was a welfare check request in the 200 block of Harrell. Officer made contact and everything was OK.There was a horse out on Hwy. 6/West Blackjack headed toward town. Horse was located and estrayed to the county until the owner can pick it up, and show proof of ownership of the horse.

Hitchcock film offered at Gordon Center

Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center will present Alfred Hitchcock’s “Easy Virtue,” at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, as part of Movie Night at the Museum.The 1928 British silent film is a romance starring Isabel Jeans, Franklin Dyall and Ian Hunter.

Voter registration deadline Monday

Those who are wanting to register to vote for the presidential election along with state and local offices on the Nov. 5 ballot only have until Monday, Oct. 7 to make sure they are registered.

Sahawee Indian Dance Performers entertain crowds and share part of their culture with attendees at the annual Comanche Pow Wow events hosted by the Comanche Chamber of Commerce Saturday, Sept. 28-29. The event also showcased a car show, barbecue cookoff, entertainment and vendors galore.
