Annual Genealogy Workshop Friday, Oct. 18

Erath County Genealogy Society and Dublin Public Library invite you for a day of learning about family history research from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at the Dublin Public Library. Join us for speakers, research help, door prizes, lunch and snacks.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath is staging its annual Dancing For the Stars competition Nov. 7 at the JE Arena and Dublin has another hometown couple to back as they bust a move.

Early voting starts Monday

Early voting for the Nov. 5 Election begins Monday, Oct. 21 and will continue through Nov. 1.

Woman gets 10 for threat to judge

After deliberating less than four minutes, a jury convicted Saundra Marcoot Tuesday, Oct. 8 of obstruction or retaliation of a public official, a Third Degree Felony. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Lingleville ISD School Board Election: Place 1 candidate Sonya Koke

Lingleville ISD Board Member Sonya Koke is running for re-election in place 1, facing challenger Andrew Grimm in the Nov. 5 general election. Koke, who has served for eight years, first decided to run for school board because she advocated for children as a mother of six.
