Tarleton partners with Dublin on admission, scholarships

Beginning with the 2021-22 school year, Tarleton State University will provide annual scholarships and guarantee admission to Dublin High School seniors who graduate in the top 25 percent of their class.

Abbott addresses vaccine

Springer picked for Senate District 30

Erath County voters followed state voters in electing Drew Springer in the State Senate District 30 Runoff election Saturday. Springer drew 1,265 votes in Erath to Shelley Luther’s 1,085. On the state level, Springer received 56.5% of votes compared to Luther’s 43.

Citizen closed for Christmas

The Dublin Citizen will close at noon on Thursday, Dec. 24 and re-open on Nov. 28 so that the staff may celebrate the Christmas holiday. The closure will not affect subscribers from receiving copies or the deadlines for the following edition. The Citizen wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Locals blessed by Angels

Thanks to generous donations from the local community, The Christian Women’s Job Corps Transformation Pathway was able to deliver gifts to 51 Dublin children and 12 senior citizens Thursday as part of the annual Angel Tree program.
