The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has moved its annual awards banquet for a picnic in April and it is asking the community to get involved.
Nominees are being sought for its annual awards and people are encouraged to email info@dublintxchamber. com with a suggestion for any or all of the following nominations with a brief reason for their selection.
Nominations will be reviewed by the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and winners will be announced during the picnic next month.
Nominations are being sought in the following categories:
■ Citizen of the Year
■ Business Leader of the Year
■ Volunteer of the Year
■ Spotlight on Excellence
■ Faith in the Future of Dublin (for a person (s) or business who has made a major investment in the Dublin community based on their belief that Dublin is where they need to be to succeed. Traditionally this has been a new business or a business expansion.)
■ Billie Kloster Ambassador Award (An award for someone whose “reach” is much wider than the community. Someone who has access to lots of people in other places – and uses that access to promote out community.)
■ Kenneth McDaniel “Hello my Friend” Award (An award for someone whose outgoing personality makes Dublin a better place to live.)
■ Footprint Award (an award for someone who passed in the past year and left a lasting legacy on the Dublin community.)
